Product Description
In this revealing new book, the follow-up to the bestselling first edition, top trader Robbie Burns cuts through the jargon to give you the lowdown on the strategies you need to make money from share dealing. Robbie, aka the Naked Trader, is an expert and highly entertaining guide to the sometimes baffling world of the stock market. In between cups of tea, rounds of toast and the occasional 'cuddle' with Mrs Naked Trader, he describes the straightforward techniques that have enabled him to succeed in the markets and escape the rat race. The book kicks off with the basics such as: the best websites, magazines and newspapers to look at; the kit you need to get cracking; and some key tips for choosing a broker. Robbie then gives you the essential techniques for picking the good shares and, just as importantly, avoiding the bad ones, and finishes up with some more advanced topics like how to make money even when shares fall. Along the way you also get the chance to spend a day with the

| Customer Reviews: Must-Have August 16, 2007 Dave Since I bought this book some months ago, I've read it over and over. It's so easy to understand, and its breadth is so comprehensive; it's a godsend for someone like me who used to be a complete duffer when it came to anything to do with stocks, shares and trading. I'd been following the techniques and advice Robbie gives (on paper at first of course!) for several months before I took part in an online spreadbetting competition last month, and won 300 pounds for second place.
I certainly couldn't have done it without taking in the valuable information on every page of this book. The trading strategies are easy to understand, and Robbie's style makes the book a fascinating read. Included is a chapter on investing 'horror stories', submitted by real traders whose mistakes provide an additional education, and confirmation, of the all too real pitfalls that Robbie warns us of whenever we consider buying (or selling) shares. What more can one say? A must-have for anyone serious about trading.
If you're new to trading you need to read this book! November 9, 2005 Stuart Watts (Birmingham, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ok, you've been watching the stockmarket over a few years, brought and sold some shares occasionally, made a bit of money and sometimes lost a bit of money, or worse, a lot. You watch Bloomberg and some 'expert' tips a share, you go online and buy it and a few weeks later it comes out with a profit warning and dives! You need this book! Do what Robbie says, make some coffee, get some toast and sit down and read. The first thing that will strike you are the warnings. There are some horror stories of people who lost a great deal of money in here. Fun if you haven't brought anything yet-will turn your blood to ice if you have. But that's the whole point. It's going to make you sit up and scrutinise your shares and it's going to stop you buying all those lousy ones that are out there. There's no jargon, no long lists of mystic mathematical formulae for working out if a share is 'cheap' or not. This book is for normal, Earthbound people. I really enjoyed this book. It was highly informative and very entertaining and to be honest since reading it my wallet (or virtual wallet) has gotten very rosy cheeked and developed a proper pot belly. If you're new to trading or even if you would consider yourself experienced I would advise you buy this book because trust me it'll be the best money you've ever spent.
Jargon free book on share trading October 27, 2005 Mr. J. Chand 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you`re a new comer to the world of trading shares or even an old hand, you`ll find this book a little different to any you may have read before!
Written in a humourous & down to earth style, free from the usual financial mumbo-jumbo jargon found in most stuffy financial books, this book actually makes you understand, how you can really make money from shares & avoid the pitfalls that almost all new investors make.
In a detailed step by step approach, you learn how to pick a share ( from the hundreds available), research it, follow the chart & find a point on where to buy & sell it at a profit(hopefully).
I only wish that this book was available a few years ago, so that i could have avoided some expensive mistakes!
Whilst a lot of finance books are written by gurus & non trading mentors, this author actually trades for a living.
The book also mentions his website where his current trading exploits are listed.
A most enjoyable & informative read! Money well spent!
